Skansenøyra – an accessible walk with beautiful fjord views

You can begin the walk either from the centre of Rognan or by parking at the entrance to Skansenøyra if you are arriving by car or prefer a shorter route. If you start from the town centre, the path takes you past the old Hagensen workshop – a protected historic building full of local character and heritage.

As you reach the area, the landscape opens up to wide coastal scenery, peaceful surroundings and beautiful views across the fjord. Skansenøyra offers plenty of space for gentle walks, exploring nature, family activities or simply taking in the fresh air at your own pace.

The area is calm, safe and easy to enjoy, whether you would like to spend time around others or wander off to find a quiet spot surrounded by nature. Its open layout creates space for both social gatherings and peaceful moments close to the sea and mountains.

With flat gravel paths running throughout the area, Skansenøyra is well suited for wheelchairs, pushchairs and anyone looking for an easy and accessible outdoor experience.

This makes Skansenøyra a perfect destination for family outings, everyday escapes and nature experiences that everyone can enjoy.
