Welcome to Norways smallest hotel
Storjord Hotel in Saltdal was opened in 1923 by the great grandparents of todays owner and is to our knowledge Norway's smallest hotel! After closing its doors in 1940 the hotel was used as a family home until Camilla and husband Petter bought it from a relative in 2006. After several years of renovation the new Storjord Hotel opened in 2009.
Today the hotel has four rooms and a chamber and most of the interior is vintage treasures found on the property. All the beds are the originals that were made to the opening in 1923. The hotel is located in a beautiful area close to Junkerdal National Park and its open from approximately May to September every year. Due to the try climate in Saltdal the building it self is one of Norways best kept wooden hotels.
