Berry Picking Season in Saltdal

Blueberries are easy to pick and delicious straight from the bush, or in juice, jam, and baked treats. They’re full of vitamins and antioxidants and have long been part of northern autumn traditions.

Cloudberries are rarer but highly prized. Often called an Arctic superfood, they’re packed with vitamin C and other important nutrients. For generations, cloudberries have been a staple in the northern diet, and today they’re still enjoyed in both traditional and modern recipes.

Berry picking isn’t just about the harvest – it’s about the experience. A walk through the forest or out on the marsh offers fresh air, peace, and beautiful nature – and maybe even a bucket full of autumn treasures.
